Darren Brady Nelson

Darren Brady Nelson is a truth-bomb throwing Chief Economist, media commentator and intellectual Christian who calls both Australia and America home. He works with think tanks, industry associations and freedom activists from around the Anglosphere in dogged pursuit of Life, Liberty and Economics. His university degrees are in economics and law. His book is the Ten Principles of Regulation & Reform which combines Austrian, Chicago and Public Choice economics.

Darren’s career has unfolded in three phases: first as a full-time mainstream economist for Australian governments and a “Big Five” accounting firm from 1994 to 2001; then second as a freelance mainstream economist for Australian, NZ and UK governments, infrastructure and economic consulting firms from 2002 to 2020; and now third as a freelance liberty economist for Australian and USA media, politicians and think tanks from 2010 to 2021.

Darren’s two degrees are a Master’s of Law (magna cum laude) and Bachelor’s of Economics (cum laude) from two different Australian universities.

Brendan Markey-Towler

Brendan Markey-Towler is an economist and behavioural scientist. Before transitioning to work in the financial sector he led a global academic career, with positions at the University of Queensland, University College London and RMIT University. He has researched and published widely in academic and popular outlets, particularly on the behavioural, institutional and evolutionary economics of new technologies. He is the author, with Nicholas Johnson, of Economics of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. His first book was An Architecture of the Mind, an essay on theoretical mathematical psychology. He holds a PhD and a Bachelor of Economics with First Class Honours and a University Medal from the University of Queensland.
